Baggage
One Way Trip Course (L200-O) Your baggage will be transported by land from Tokyo to Kyoto with allowance of one piece per person. For the overnight stay in Takayama and Kanazawa, we recommend you to carry a light overnight bag with you. For extra baggage, 2,200yen will be charged per piece. Round Trip Course (L200-R) Please carry your baggage on your own. However, trains do not have areas for storings large pieces of baggage. We recommend leaving large pieces of baggage at your hotel in Tokyo while you travel by train.

Day 1 : TOKYO - TAKAYAMA
Board a Shinkansen for Nagoya. Transfer to a limited-express for Takayama, an ancient, tranquil city called "Little Kyoto". Afternoon, stroll through Takayama, visiting Yatai Kaikan Hall, where colorfully decorated traditional festival floats are displayed; Kusakabe Folkcraft Museum, formerly the residence of powerful merchants under goverment patronage; and the streets of Kami Sannomachi, which preserve traditional Japanese wooden houses. Accommodation at Hida Hotel Plaza.
Day 2 : TAKAYAMA - SHIRAKAWAGO - KANAZAWA Visit the famous morning market of Takayama. Scenic drive by Lake Miboro and along Shokawa River to Shirakawago, designated in 1995 as part of the World Heritage. Its highlights are unique structures called Gassho-Zukuri, or joined-hands farm houses. Then visit Gokayama, another World Heritage village, where you can experience making Gokayama Washi, traditional Japanese paper. Continue to Kanazawa. You can choose hotel from the hotel list above.

Day 3 : KANAZAWA - KYOTO Morning sightseeing in Kanazawa, visiting Kenroku-en Garden, Kutaniyaki Pottery Kiln, Higashi-chaya Street and Former Guest House "Shima". Afternoon, back to Kyoto by a limited-express. Drop-off service to hotel in Kyoto between 16:30-17:30.
Round Trip Course (L200-R)
Day 3 : KANAZAWA - TOKYO Morning sightseeing in Kanazawa, visiting Kenroku-en Garden, Kutaniyaki Pottery Kiln, Higashi-chaya Street and Former Guest House "Shima". Afternoon, back to Tokyo by a limited-express and Shinkansen. Drop-off service to hotel in Tokyo between 19:30-20:30.

We recommend you to prepare casual clothes and comfortable shoes suitable for walking, and also to bring an overcoat or any warm clothes for winter season from October, chilly month; to February, snowy month.

When "Former Toyama Family Residence" is closed, or when snow is heavy in winter, visit "Gassho-zukuri Folklore Park" instead.

Lake Miboro may be skipped due to heavy snow in winter.

Depends on traffic/weather condition, or other operational reasons, motorcoach may be used for transfer from Nagoya Station to Takayama Station.
