Baggage
Baggage carriage is not included. Please carry your baggage on your own. However, trains do not have areas for storing large pieces of baggage. We recommend leaving large pieces of baggage at your hotel while you travel by train.

Day 1 : TOKYO - KYOTO - NARA - KYOTO Morning transfer to Tokyo Station (between 9:00-10:00) and board a Shinkansen train for the classical city of Kyoto. Enjoy a splendid view of imposing Mt. Fuji en route (weather permitting). Lunch at New Miyako Hotel. Afternoon tour to Nara, the first permanent capital of Japan. Visit Todaiji Temple housing a great image of Buddha, colorful Kasuga Shrine with 3,000 lanterns, and Deer Park where many tame deer are freely roaming. Return to Kyoto. You can choose a hotel from the hotel list above.
Day 2 : KYOTO - TOKYO Morning sightseeing of Kyoto, visiting Golden Pavilion, Nijo castle noted for its gorgeous interiors, and Kyoto Imperial Palace . After lunch at Kyoto Handicraft Center, afternoon sightseeing of the city, visiting Sanjusangendo Hall with its 1,001 impressive images of Buddha, vermilion-hued Heian Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple with its wooden veranda. Evening board a Shinkansen train back to Tokyo. (between 18:00-19:00) Transfer to major hotels in Tokyo. (between 21:00-22:00)

On Tuesdays in Jan., Jul., Aug. & Dec., or Wednesday if Tuesday is a national holiday, "Nijo Castle" is closed and visit "Ryoanji Temple" instead.

On Saturdays, Sundays & national holidays and some other days, Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed and you will visit "Nishi Honganji" instead.
