Shaanxi Provincial History Museum
The Shaanxi History Museum is an elegant building complex that attracts many visitors. It is located half a mile northwest of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The complex assumes the architectural features of ancient Chinese palaces and courtyards. It houses 113,000 historical and cultural artifacts unearthed in Shaanxi. To meet the need of high-level cultural exchanges, the museum has built a computer-controlled international symposium hall where simultaneous interpretation can be conducted in six different languages.

Stele Forest
Xi'an Stele Forest is the largest and earliest stele forest in China, reputed as the place collecting the best cultural relics of stele inscriptions of the country. The history of the stele forest may be traced back to the end of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and the Five Dynasties Period (907-960). The present stele forest has a collection of more than 2,300 steles from the Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD) to the Qing Dynasty. There are seven big exhibition rooms, seven verandas and one stele pavilion, displaying more than 1,000 stele works.

City Wall
The Xi'an City Wall is not only the most complete city wall that has survived in China, but it's also one of the largest and most complete ancient military systems of defense in the world. The city walls here were actually built on the fortifications of the Tang Forbidden City. The military defense facilities here including the city wall, city moat, drawbridges, watchtowers, corner towers, parapet walls and gate towers once made up a complete city defense system. Many sections have since been destroyed and the city walls are incomplete.

Bell Tower
The Bell Tower is a stately traditional building that marks the geographical center of the ancient capital. From this important landmark extend East, South, West and North Streets, connecting the Tower to the East, South, West and North Gates of the City Wall of the Ming Dynasty. The wooden tower, which is the largest and best-preserved of its kind in China, is 36 meters (118 feet) high. It stands on a brick base 35.5 meters (116.4 feet) long and 8.6 meters (28.2 feet) high on each side.
