The Silk Road was opened up by Zhang Qian in the Western Han Dynasty. This trade road spent its childhood and gradually grew up in this period of time. With the establishment of the Tang Dynasty, which saw rapid development of economy and society, this famous trade road reached its most prosperous stage in history. During the reign of Yuan Dynasty, it experienced its last flourishing period.

DAYSCHEDULEMEAL
1Upon arrival, met and transferred to hotel in Dunhuang for 1 night.
Accommodations at Silk Road Hotel Dunhuang or similar.

2Full Day Tour including Sand Mountain, Moon Lake, Mogao Grottoes and Camel Riding with deluxe lunch at the local restaurant.

Mogao Grottoes, also called Thousand Buddhist Caves, 25km southeast of Dunhuang, were gouged out of a cliff on Mingsha Mountain. Beginning from 366 A.D., and for the following 1,000 years, more stone caves were built, eventually forming a 1,680m long south-north complex, comprising 735 caves from different dynasties. It is one of the three famous ancient sculptural sites of China.

Take late afternoon flight from Dunhuang to Urumqi and transfer to Hotel for 1 night.

4Full day tour including Sugong Pagoda, Flaming Mountain & Thousand Buddhas Grottoes with deluxe lunch.

The Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves are hide on the cliffs of the west Mutou Valley under the Flaming Mountains. There are 77 rock-cut caves at the site. Most have rectangular spaces with rounded arch ceilings often divided into four sections, each with a mural of Buddha. The effect is of entire ceiling covers with hundreds of Buddha murals. Some ceilings are painted with a large Buddha surrounded by other figures, including Indians, Persians and Europeans. The quality of the murals vary with some being artistically naive while others are masterpieces of religious art.

Tu Ha Petroleum Hotel, Turpan (Standard room)

Tu Ha Petroleum Hotel is a 4-star comprehensive hotel, it is located close to the city center, about 8 Kilometers to local airport and 15 Kilometers to local south railway station. The 13 floors building has 203 guest rooms, and it has larger room in average, well appointed, all rooms are in very good condition.
