Baggage
Your baggage will be transported from Tokyo to Kyoto on Day 3. Each person will be allowed one piece of baggage. Additional baggage will require an extra fee of JPY 2,200 per item. Each person will be allowed one piece of baggage for the van from Kyoto to Kansai Airport. Additional baggage will require an extra fee of JPY 1,000 per item. For the overnight stay in Yonago on Day 5, we recommend that you carry a light overnight bag.

Day 1 : ARRIVE AT TOKYO Arrive at New Tokyo International Airport (Narita Airport). JTB staff will meet clients at the custom's exit and assist them in boarding a reserved taxi. Transfer to hotel. For your accommodation, you can choose a hotel from the hotel list above.
Day 2 : TOKYO Morning, half-day tour in Tokyo. Depart the hotel and join a morning tour of Tokyo from Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal. Visit Tokyo Tower Observatory (40 mins.), Imperial Palace Plaza (15 mins.), Sensoji Temple and Nakamise Shopping Arcade in Asakusa (40 mins.), and take a drive through Ueno. The morning tour ends at noon at Akihabara or Tokyo Station. Afternoon is free time. Accommodations at the hotel in Tokyo.
Day 3 : TOKYO - Mt. FUJI - HAKONE - KYOTO Depart the hotel and join a tour to Mt. Fuji and Hakone from Keio Plaza Hotel (120 mins.). At Mt. Fuji, visit the Fuji Visitor Center (20 mins.) and go up to Mt. Fuji's 5th station (30 mins.) Japanese-style lunch. In Hakone after lunch, ride the Hakone Ropeway (20 mins.), visit Owakudani Valley (30 mins.), and take a cruise on Lake Ashi from Togendai to Hakone-machi (30 mins.). Take a Shinkansen to Kyoto from Odawara Station (180 mins.) Arrive at your hotel in Kyoto.
Day 4 : KYOTO - NARA - KYOTO Depart the hotel and join a morning tour of Kyoto from New Miyako Hotel. Visit Nijo Castle (50 mins.), Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion) (45 mins.), and Kyoto Imperial Palace (40 mins.) We have Buffet-style lunch. In Nara after lunch, visit Todaiji Temple with the Great Buddha (60 mins.), Nara Park (10 mins.), Kasuga Taisha Shrine (40 mins.), and Nara Nagomikan (25 mins.) before returning to Kyoto. Arrive at hotel in Kyoto around 6:45 - 8 p.m.
Day 5 : KYOTO - YONAGO Depart the hotel and take a Shinkansen to Okayama Station (60 mins.). Transfer to a limited express train to Yasugi Station (140 mins.) Japanese-style box lunch. After arriving in Yonago, visit Adachi Museum of Art (120 mins.), Yuushien Garden (60 mins.), and Mizuki Shigeru Road (15 mins.) Arrive at Kaike Onsen Kaike Grand Hotel Tensui. We have Buffet-style dinner.
Day 6 : YONAGO - MATSUE - KYOTO We have a Buffet-style breakfast. Depart the hotel and visit Izumo Taisha Shrine (60 mins.) and Matsue Castle (80 mins.) Then we have a Japanese-style lunch. After lunch, take a limited express from Matsue Station to Okayama Station (160 mins.) and transfer to a Shinkansen to Kyoto (60 mins.). Around 6:50 - 7:30 p.m, we will arrive at your hotel in Kyoto.
Day 7 : KYOTO - KANSAI AIRPORT Free time until designated departure time for Kansai Airport. The departure time will be announced on the previous day.
Staff from the van company will meet you at your hotel and take you to the airport by van (not chartered).

This tour is for oversea travelers only.

We recommend you to prepare casual clothes and comfortable shoes suitable for walking, and also to bring an overcoat or any warm clothes for winter season from October, chilly month; to February, snowy month.

Guest are allowed to leave the tour at Itami Airport. If you would like to do so, please let us know upon booking.
<for Day 3: Mt. Fuji-Hakone Tour>

Multilingual audio guiding devices recorded in Korean, Chinese, German and Spanish will be provided free of charge on these tours. Please make requests in advance to receive this special free service.

When Fuji Visitor Center is closed, or if the tour is behind the schedule due to traffic jam, Fuji Visitor Center may be skipped.
•
When the driveway up to Mt. Fuji's 5th station is closed in winter due to heavy snow, or if the tour is behind schedule due to traffic jam, you will go up to the highest possible point.
•
Komagatake Ropeway or Cruise on Lake Ashi may also be omitted or substituted depending on traffic, weather conditions, or for other operational reasons. In this case, you will enjoy one in case of either of them omitted or two for both of them omitted out of following althernatives; Narukawa Museum in Hakone, Hakone Check Point, Cruise on Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway, Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone shrine and Owaku-dani. Your tour guide will finalize alternative places, based on careful study of tour movement and other conditions.

We recommend you to bring an overcoat or other warm clothing during autumn and winter.
•
For people proceeding to Kyoto after this tour, please note that your arrival time is usually around 21:30 but sometimes will be around 22:00-23:00 due to traffic conditions.

Even if you go up to 5th station of Mt. Fuji, it so happens that you cannot see the full view of Mt. Fuji due to the weather conditions. We shall never make any refund and also never cancel the tour operation for this reason.
•
There is a possibility that your tour guide not accompany you on the tour bus or the Shinkansen back to Tokyo after Odawara station for operational reasons. In this case, your guide will provide information on how to go back your hotel from Tokyo station (Return by Shinkansen), or from Shinjuku / Ginza (By motorcoach Throughout).

On Tuesdays in Jan., Jul., Aug. & Dec., "Nijo Castle" is closed and visit "Ryoanji Temple" instead.

Kyoto Imperial Palace

On Saturdays, Sundays & national holidays and some other days, Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed and you will visit "Nishi Honganji" instead.
