Depart from hotel in Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. The first stop visit the hot spring at Mae Kachan. Then drive to the northern – most point of Thailand at the Thai-Burmese border and visit the border town Mae Sai.

Continue to the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet. Lunch at a local restaurant. Proceed to Chiang Saen, the former capital of the first Thai Lanna Kingdom, situated directly on the Mekong River on the border between Thailand and Laos. Witness some magnificent the ancient ruins and temples. Return to Chiang Mai, across the same mountainous route.
