Lampoon is one of an ancient town, which has managed to retain its charming and attractive qualities. Lampoon is not far from Chiang Mai. Touring visit many ancient temples such as Wat Phrathad Haripoonchai which boasts a pagoda housing a relic of the Lord Buddha and some fine buildings. Just outside the western gate of Lampoon see Wat Jamathevi with it interesting stepped pagoda showing Mon influence. Both temples are over 1,000 years old. Then, visit Pa-Sang a village famed for beautiful girls and Thai Cotton weavers.
