Experience country life in Nagano Prefecture, located over 200 kilometers northwest from central Tokyo, where rural scenery spreads out before you. Stay at a Minshuku equipped with onsen (hot spring) facilities, take part in nature programs, and relax during free time. This tour offers a taste of Japan that you cannot experience in big cities.

Day 1 : TOKYO - NAGANO
At 9:20- 9:50a.m., leave Tokyo Station for Nagano via Asama Shinkansen by your own. At 12:35p.m., take a motorcoach from Togarinozawa-Onsen Station to Minshuku Bellforest. At 1:00p.m., you can experience for make your own set of chopsticks from natural bamboo. Enjoy the rest of the day on your own exploring the area around Minshuku Bellforest. you will have a Japanese style dinner at the Minshuku.

Day 2 : NAGANO - TOKYO

In the morning, enjoy breakfast at Minshuku Bellforest. At 9:00a.m. (30 min.), design your own original hand towel with a natural dye made from grass, flowers, stalks and other plants. Free at your leisure until lunch. During lunch time, enjoy a Japanese-style boxed lunch. At 4:30-5:30p.m., you may return to Tokyo Station via Asama Shinkansen.

Remarks


This tour is for oversea travelers only.


Round trip travel between Tokyo and Togarinozawa-Onsen Station will be undertaken on your own. Local staff will guide you for the round trip between Togarinozawa-Onsen Station and your inn by taxi, and during the programs.


The area around the inn consists of mountain roads, so please wear clothing and shoes comfortable for walking.


Baths and toilets will be shared. Baths are onsen baths (men and women bathe separately).


Japanese tourists may join the programs (Chopstick making, Kusakizome [vegetation dyeing]).


Towels, toothbrushes, yukata robes, shampoo, and soap are provided at the lodging facility.


You can apply for local programs during your leisure time. These include Japanese beech forest trekking, vegetable harvesting, and soba making (JPY 500-1,500).


Minshuku Uwadane-kan may be used instead of Minshuku Bellforest due to operational reasons.


If you need to make any changes after making reservations, please call no later than eight business days before your departure date.


If you cancel the tour after receiving your tickets, please send the tickets back to Sunrise Center.


We recommend that you bring a coat or other warm clothing during spring and autumn. Snow still remains on the mountains in April and May.


Please note that your shinkansen tickets will not be reissued or replaced if you lose them after you receive. In those circumstances, you will have to purchase a normal ticket at your own expense.


The above reserved seats are provided, but due to circumstances such as schedule changes an earlier or later train may be taken.
