Day 1 : NAGOYA - TAKAYAMA Assemble at Hotel Associa Nagoya Terminal at 11:20 and board a limited express for Takayama leaving between 12:00-12:30. Arrive at Takayama between 14:00-14:30. Afternoon, stroll through Takayama visiting Yatai Kaikan Hall, where colorfully decorated traditional festival floats are displayed, Kusakabe Folkcraft Museum, formerly the residence of powerful merchants under government patronage, and Kami Sannomachi street, which preserves traditional Japanese wooden houses. Overnight at Hida Hotel Plaza.
Day 2 : TAKAYAMA - SHIRAKAWAGO - KANAZAWA Visit the famous morning market of Takayama. Scenic drive by Lake Miboro and along Shogawa river to Shirakawago, designated as World Heritage. Its highlights are unique structures called Gassho-Zukuri, or joined-hands farmhouses. Then visit Gokayama, another World Heritage village, where you can experience making traditional Japanese paper. Tour continues to Kanazawa.
Day 3: KANAZAWA - NAGOYA Morning sightseeing of Kanazawa, visiting Kenrokuen Garden, one of Japan's three most beautiful gardens; Kutaniyaki Pottery kiln; and Higashi-cyaya street and Former Guest House "Shima". Afternoon, limited express to Nagoya leaving between 14:30-15:00. Arrive at Nagoya between 17:00-18:00.
Remarks:

We recommend you to prepare casual clothes and comfortable shoes suitable for walking, and also to bring an overcoat or any warm clothes for winter season from October, chilly month; to February, snowy month.

You are requested to inform your staying place before/after this tour upon booking.

When "Former Toyama Family Residence" is closed, or when snow is heavy in winter, visit "Gassho-zukuri Folklore Park" instead.

Lake Miboro may be skipped due to heavy snow.
•
Depends on traffic/weather condition, or other operational reasons, motorcoach may be used for transfer from Nagoya Station to Takayama Station.
•
At Hida Hotel Plaza (Deluxe room for C category), Japanese-Western style room will be offered for booking 3 persons in 1 room.
•
JTB staff will not meet participants at Nagoya Station on Day 3.
•
The tour will visit Kusakabe Folk Museum on Day 2 if the museum is closed on Day 1.
